victoriansword:

A unique and excellent book on British campaign furniture. Swords are rather thin on the ground in this one, but the beautiful and functional furniture makes up for that. This book illustrates the lifestyle maintained by many officers when in the field through period advertisements and photos, as well as gorgeous modern photos of antiques. This book will be enjoyed by students of military history, interior designers, antiques collectors and enthusiasts, steampunks, aesthetes, and generally anyone with good taste. 🙂

The images above illustrate an officer’s tent ready for use, and then broken down into its pieces for transport. The sword in the illustrations is a British Pattern 1822 Infantry Officer’s Sword (possibly Pattern 1845–can’t tell without seeing the blade). I would live in a tent if I could live with that furniture!
