barbucomedie:

Helmet from the personal collection of the Tipu Sultan in the 18th Century on display at the National War Museum in Edinburgh Castle

After the fall of the Tipu Sultan’s city of Seringapatam many of the items from his collection were regarded as trophies. Such was the chaos caused by the rampaging and looting by the British and Allied Indian soldiers that it is uncertain whether such items did belong to the Tipu himself or were just there at the time.
