William IV era 1827 Royal Naval Officer’s sword & scabbard. Gilt lion’s head pommel, with maine backstrap, ray skin grip with wire wrap and gilt brass guard, showing the fouled anchor & crown, with folding langet. 78cm long, slightly curved, quillback black, shows etching to both sides of foulded anchors, royal crown, Honi soit qui mal y pense motto in garter, with maker mark for Hamburger & Co. Covent Garden, London.
